A stellar day with a memorable Inferno finish!

I entered chilly water in Thun alone, just after a beautiful sunrise, and crossed the finish line in the clouds as darkness fell, just over 14 hours later arm-in-arm with new Swiss friends. It was a beautiful thing and the camaraderie was the unexpected highlight! The weather was perfect, the Alps were glorious, and this proved to be the hardest, yet most emotionally gratifying event I've ever tackled. I'll post a full race report in a week with lots of photos. For now, I just wanted to let you know that I'm safe and had the joy of crossing the finish line on top of the Schilthorn!

Warm greetings from Zürich,
Jeff

Dude, that MTB doesn.t even look like it.s been ridden. Come on, I know you.re bluffing, you couldn.t tackle that tough of a course.... JUST KIDDING, I was there and I saw the way you kicked Inferno ass. Way to go Jeff, I still can.t believe the smile on your face when you passed Becky and I in Murren. Way to go man, see you Sunday!

Jeff,

Congratulations! That's quite an amazing accomplishment. We enjoy reading about all of your adventures. Your new apartment looks even cooler than the one in Amsterdam, and the view is amazing. Good luck in Switzerland!
